WELCOME TO PEACH PEDIATRIC PSYCHOLOGICAL CENTER

Our office offers a variety of developmental evaluations and comprehensive psychological assessments for children 0 to 4 years of age. However, we will complete Autism evaluations for children up to 6 years of age. Unfortunately, we are not offering any therapy services or academic testings at this time.

Please be aware that our schedule is currently closed and our waitlist is full for testings at this time. Our schedule will re-open on a first come first serve basis on June 14, 2024 to begin scheduling appointments for July 2024. However, due to the substantial need for Autsim-related evaluations, we will prioritize these referrals.

**Once our schedule re-opens on Friday, June 14, 2024 at 8:00AM. Please call our office at that time and leave ONE voicemail indicating that you are wanting to schedule an evaluation. Due to high call volume, we will ONLY be returning calls that have left a voicemail. Please be mindful that each initial consultation takes approximately 15 minutes for Dr. Tayler Turnquist to complete over the phone; thus, we would greatly appreciate your patience in our effort to meet this substantial need.**

TYPES OF PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENTS

A collaborative approach

There are many different types of evaluations, some very brief, some more extensive, depending on the type of evaluation you need. We speak directly with parents and answer any questions you may have when deciding which type of psychological assessment is most appropriate for you and your child as well as provide information regarding what your insurance will/will not cover.

THE ASSESSMENT PROCESS

All evaluations, intakes, testing, scoring and interpreting results, report writing, and feedback sessions are administered and completed exclusively by Dr. Tayler Turnquist.

Intake and Final Feedback Sessions for all evaluations (~50 minutes each)

  • Intake Session: Includes a review of consent forms, gathering of developmental history, discussing the reason for the evaluation or referral question with the clinician, and receiving individualized recommendations for testing.

  • Feedback Session: Includes an overview of test findings and results as well as individualized recommendations for parents/caregivers based on the results of the assessment.

COMPREHENSIVE PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENTS

(CHILDREN 4 TO 6 YEARS OF AGE)

A full psychological assessment explores how cognitive, attention, and emotional/behavioral factors may be impacting a child’s academic, social, and/or functional success. Information will be collected from a variety of sources, including parental report, child report (if applicable), and teachers' reports. Data collected from psychological tests are analyzed and contextually integrated with both current and historical information.

All complete psychological assessments include:

  • Full Intelligence testing

  • Behavior/Emotional/Social assessment

  • Assessment of Adaptive/Daily Living Skills

  • A comprehensive written report (typically 18-25 pages) with suggested interventions

  • Please note that academic testing is NOT covered by insurance as it is not deemed “medically necessary”. Please contact your child’s administration if you are looking for academic testing, as public schools are provided funding to complete these types of assessments within the academic setting.
